About Me
I am a communications professional with a culinary degree and a passion for helping people cook and eat better.
I'm a professional chef, recipe developer, food writer, editor, cookbook author, product reviewer, mom of two, and lover of outdoor fitness. I have 10 years of marketing agency experience followed by 15 years of experience in culinary media. (And going way back, I have a BS is Advertising Management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University, and an AAS in Culinary Arts from Newbury College.)
- As an Associate Editor and Test Cook at America’s Test Kitchen, I developed recipes and contributed to 12 cookbooks. I also managed countless photo shoots, and assisted on several seasons of the Emmy-nominated TV shows, America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country.
- As a freelancer, I wrote for Craving Boston, now GBH Food (www.wgbh.org), consulted for Ninja countertop appliances (love my Ninja CREAMi!), and planned retreats on which I've taught cooking skills classes.
- As Managing Editor of Kitchen & Appliances at Reviewed, I managed a team that tested and wrote about all manner of kitchen products, large appliances, and culinary consumer education. In my time at Reviewed, the sections I oversaw were consistently some of the most successful content on the site.
Now, I specialize in developing recipes for real life, recommending the best tools for working smarter not harder, and teaching people the keys to kitchen confidence. I believe that everyone can enjoy cooking when they have the right tools and the confidence to use them.
Get in touch for writing, editing, product testing or consulting, and/or recipe development and testing needs. The kitchen is always my favorite place to be!
